Carpenter Apprentice – Full Time

Allied Construction Management is a St. John’s–based construction, project-management, and development firm delivering commercial, multi-residential, institutional, and healthcare projects across Newfoundland and Labrador.
With multiple projects underway, we are looking for Carpenter Apprentices to join our growing field team.
Our carpentry crews are primarily involved in concrete construction, including forming concrete walls, columns, foundations, and slabs. This is a great opportunity for an apprentice looking to gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced carpenters on large construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with concrete formwork for walls, foundations, columns, and slabs
- Build, install, strip, and prepare concrete forms
- Assist with layout and preparation for concrete pours
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Work alongside experienced carpenters, forepersons, and superintendents
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow project drawings, instructions, and site safety requirements
- Perform general carpentry and construction duties as required
Qualifications
- Previous construction or concrete experience is an asset, but not required
- Comfortable working in an active construction environment
- Willingness to learn and develop carpentry skills
- Reliable and able to work as part of a crew
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Safety-focused and able to follow instructions
Allied Construction Management is a member of the Merit Contractors Association and offers competitive wages, benefits, and an RSP plan. Compensation is based on apprenticeship level, experience, and qualifications.
