Project Manager – Construction

Allied Construction Management is a St. John’s–based construction, project-management, and development firm delivering complex commercial, multi-residential, institutional, and healthcare projects across Newfoundland and Labrador. With multiple large-scale projects underway and more in design and permitting, we are growing our management team to support the scale and complexity of our work.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team.

This role is central to the successful delivery of Allied’s projects. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction—from pre-construction and procurement through close-out—ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from award through completion

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cash flows

  • Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams

  • Lead procurement, tendering, and contract administration

  • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work

  • Administer change orders, RFIs, and submittals

  • Monitor cost, schedule, quality, and risk

  • Support site teams and superintendents with clear direction and resources

  • Maintain project documentation in Procore and other systems

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in construction project management

  • Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of commercial and multi-residential construction

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills

  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is an asset

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
