Project Details

Allied is currently providing specialized formwork and concrete services as a subcontractor on the Adult Corrections Facility (Her Majesty’s Penitentiary Replacement) project in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. The project is a major provincial infrastructure development focused on delivering a modern, secure, and purpose-built correctional facility.

Working under the general contracting team of PCL Constructors Canada Inc. and Marco Group Limited, Allied is responsible for the execution of formwork for the building foundations. This scope includes forming complex foundation systems designed to support a large-scale institutional structure with stringent structural, durability, and performance requirements.

The work is being carried out within a highly coordinated construction environment, requiring close collaboration with the general contractor, design team, and other trades to maintain schedule, safety, and quality standards. Emphasis is placed on sequencing, constructability, and adherence to detailed structural specifications.

Allied’s ongoing involvement on the Adult Corrections Facility demonstrates the company’s ability to self-perform critical structural scopes on large, technically demanding public-sector projects, and to work effectively as part of a multi-firm delivery team.
