This approx. 17,500sf Pre-Treatment Facility is an expansion to the existing Bay Bulls Big Pond Water Treatment Plant. The new plant uses a DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) System to treat raw water before it enters the main treatment facility. The main structure of the building, including the DAF tanks and Flocculation tanks, is of concrete construction. Approximately 3,600 m3 of concrete was poured. The building envelope & roof construction is a Steel Structure with block walls & metal siding. There were also upgrades to the existing plant included in the contract.
