eDNAtec Inc. is establishing an environmental genomics research centre in Newfoundland and Labrador. Environmental genomics is the study of genes to characterize biological components of the environment. This centre will be the hub for environmental assessment studies and will focus on environmental applications of genomics. It will develop and apply methodologies and technologies for the characterization and monitoring of biodiversity.
