Bob Lynch attended Memorial University from 1987 to 1988.  He graduated from Cabot College of Applied Arts and Technology with a diploma in Architectural Engineering Technology in 1993.

Bob began his professional career on Canada’s west coast, working at Thornley Consulting Group Inc. from 1994 to 1998. Bob started as a Quantity Surveyor, preparing budgets at all levels of design, from schematic to tender stage for commercial, residential, educational, and health care facilities, in both the public and private sectors across British Columbia.

From 1998 to 2002 in Vancouver, Bob worked for Vanbots Construction Inc., one of the country’s largest General Contractors at the time, as an estimator responsible for preparation of Tenders for large Lump Sum and Construction Management projects. Bob’s experience working with large construction companies in Western Canada would turn out to be an asset when returning home to Newfoundland & Labrador.

In June of 2002 the “lure of the rock” drew Bob and his wife back to Newfoundland to start a family.  Later that year in October 2002, Bob began work with Allied as an Estimator and Project Manager.  Since 2002 he has estimated and managed many projects ranging in value from 500K to 25 million dollars. His experience in construction is diverse in its span, including everything from small renovations to residential towers, a Sports Arena and a Water Treatment Plant.

Bob is a registered Professional Technologist with AETTNL and is Gold Seal Certified with the Canadian Construction Association.  Bob currently serves on the board of Merit Contractors Association of NL as Vice-Chair.

Bob is also an active volunteer in his community serving as a volunteer firefighter with the Goulds Fire Station for the last 10 years and has been coaching minor hockey for the past 5 years.
